Taken a class or two and ready to take the next step? If you’ve learned to center on the wheel, our Wheel 2 six-week class is thoughtfully designed to guide you through a wide range of throwing skills and creative processes essential to advancing your wheel throwing journey. Throughout the course, we will focus on techniques to gain height, achieve balance, control wall and foot thickness, improve tool proficiency, and begin to explore the more intricate relationships between form and function.
If you’ve taken Wheel 2 a few times and can comfortably trim your pieces, it’s time to level up. Join us in the Intermediate section of wheel throwing, where you will learn to create more complex forms, work with multi-part pieces, and develop sets that showcase your growing expertise.

Throughout these courses, you will learn to create new and different forms while further refining your throwing techniques, surface techniques, and some basic handbuilding skills for attachments, enabling you to expand your pottery-making abilities. We recommend taking at least one Intermediate course before moving on to Advanced Topics.
