Our mini winter sampler schedule, beginning on December 2nd, features a variety of classes to cater to different skill levels and interests. This is your chance to explore something new with a curated short class that will be perfect to shift into the holidays with. Options range from Intro to Wheel 1 and 2, Intermediate Wheel, to Hand Building. These courses are all just for adults and will run for three weeks. All instruction, materials, tool use, and firing fees are included in the class price! We also offer open studio hours daily for current students to practice their new skills outside of class.
Classes are for Adults 18+ (excluding teens and kids’ classes)

Intro to Wheel Throwing I: 3 weeks
Have you always wanted to learn to throw on the potter’s wheel? This class requires no previous throwing experience. It is taught in a small setting with plenty of one on one instruction time. Your class fee includes all instruction, use of equipment, clay, tools, glaze, and all firings costs.

Wheel II: 3 Weeks
Taken a class or two but not quite ready for intermediate? If you’ve learned how to center then this six week class is designed to help you navigate a myriad of throwing skills and creative processes necessary to continue your wheel throwing adventures! We will focus on gaining height, balance, wall and foot thickness, tool proficiency and begin to explore the complexities of form and function.

Intermediate Wheel Throwing: 3 Weeks
In this class, you will build on the skills from the into course (some students repeat intro 2-3 times before moving on to this section depending on skill level). You will learn new/different forms and further your throwing technique. Class projects will be partially determined by student interest.

This class will focus on pouring pots!

Hand Building: 3 weeks
This class will explore introductory techniques to hand-building functional objects and requires no previous clay experience. You will learn coiling, pinching, and slab building in a small class setting. Your class fee includes all instruction, use of equipment, clay, tools, glaze, and all firings costs.
