Welcome to our Spring II schedule! These courses will begin April 20th and run for 6 weeks, meeting once a week. Students will spend four weeks focused on throwing or handbuilding, followed by two weeks dedicated to glazing and finishing work.

Our instructors are here to guide you at every stage, whether you’re touching clay for the first time or refining forms you’ve been developing for years. First-timers and beginners are encouraged to join us.

Intro to Wheel 1 - 6 weeks

Have you always wanted to learn to throw on the potter’s wheel? This class requires no previous throwing experience. It is taught in a small setting with plenty of one on one instruction time. Your class fee includes all instruction, use of equipment, clay, tools, glaze, and all firing costs.

We recommend taking Intro to Wheel Throwing 2–3 times before moving up to Wheel 2 or beyond. If you’re unsure where you belong next, talk to our team and we’ll guide you to the best class fit.

Esta clase se imparte completamente en español. Durante estas seis semanas, los estudiantes explorarán tanto el torno en un ambiente acogedor y de apoyo. Todos los niveles son bienvenidos, ya sea que estés empezando por primera vez o que quieras seguir desarrollando tu práctica.

INTRO TO WHEEL II THROWING: 6 SESSIONS

Taken a class or two but not quite ready for intermediate? If you’ve learned how to center this six week class is designed to help you navigate a myriad of throwing skills and creative processes necessary to continue your wheel throwing adventures! We will focus on gaining height, balance, wall and foot thickness, tool proficiency and begin to explore the complexities of form and function.

Intermediate AND ADVANCED WHEEL THROWING: 6 SESSIONS

This class is designed for students who are ready to build on the foundations from Wheel 1 and Wheel 2.

Many students repeat the Wheel 2 course 2-3 times before progressing to this level, depending on their individual skills and comfort level.

In this course, you will explore different forms while further refining your throwing techniques. We’ll focus on control, consistency, and pushing your skills a little further each week.

All intermediate sections are 2.5 hrs long.

HandBuilding and sculpture - 6 weeks

These classes introduce foundational handbuilding techniques for creating functional and sculptural objects. No prior clay experience is needed for Sunday’s class.

Beginners will learn core methods like coiling, pinching, and slab building in a small, supportive setting that leaves room for your own ideas to take shape.

Intermediate students will build on those foundations with more complex forms, larger scale projects, and a deeper focus on structure and surface.

Your class fee includes instruction, studio equipment, clay, tools, glaze, and all firing costs.

THURSDAY MORNINGS intermediate WITH MEGHAN

10 - 12 pm — April 23rd, 30th, May 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th

This class will focus on independent study and concepts. Come ready for questions and ideas for the instructor.

We recommend repeating our handbuilding course 2-3 times before progressing to this level, or come in with equivalent experience.

Sunday AFternoons with Sara

2 - 4 pm — April 26th, May 3rd, May 10th, 17th, 24th, June 1st

This class will focus on handbuilding basics and handbuilt tableware.

Kids + Teens: 6 weeks

While all other courses are 18+, these classes are designed just for kids (5–10) and teens (11–18). There’s space here to experiment, build confidence, and develop a lasting connection to clay.

Students will have the opportunity to work on both the wheel and learn to handbuild during these 1 hour and 15 minute classes. Each class is tailored to students’ interests, allowing them to return again and again as their skills grow.
